Coordinate and perform key business activities including but not limited to developing and executing implementation strategy, developing customized customer service models, and handling of post-sale activities to acquire and retain large group cases, and projects including IT components related to new or custom capabilities.
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree required. FLMI or CEBS certification preferred. Typically requires minimum of 3 to 5 years o f progressively responsible group insurance experience with an emphasis in project management, underwriting, sales, benefits administration, large case management or the equivalent combination of education/experience.
Knowledge & Skills: Applies acquired job skills and working knowledge to lead the production of complex deliverables with multiple parties; analyze work processes and develop and recommend workflow improvements; determine business requirements; create procedural documentation; identify and facilitate resolution of issues; work effectively and with a diverse group of customers. Decision-making; organization workload and coordinate with others to meet changing priorities and deadlines; coordinate and manage multiple projects with demanding time constraints; quickly analyze and solve problems; attention to detail; express ideas clearly in written and verbal communication; effective and influential presentation skills.
Job Complexity & Judgment: Works on problems of moderate scope. Exercises judgment and discretion. Requires analysis of data where answers are not readily obtained. Works within defined procedures to resolve non-standard issues. Makes recommendations for new processes or procedures. Drives and develops a customized implementation project for each new National Accounts policyholder; initiates and leads projects to identify and resolve implementation transition issues specific to each client. Assume accountability for successful implementation of a new customer by leading project definition, scheduling, resources, costing, documentation, and implementation. Uses appropriate tools to drive implementations and create project plans, including using basic project manager skills with IT contributors
Independence & Supv required: Typically receives general instructions on routine work. May require detailed instructions on new assignments. Work is often shared with team. Participates on cross-function or cross-department projects.
Interaction & Influence: Direct and communicate key business activities on large case, Mid-Market and Regional size implementations and ongoing service; including but not limited to, communication with and between Benefits, Legal, ERR, Policy Administration, Commissions, E-Services, and other Home Office departments as necessary. Support Field Offices with enrollment material coordination. Perform meeting preparation activities, and present information to customers for finalist and implementation presentations. Coordinate and manage implementation activities on new large accounts including, but not limited to, billing/reporting setup, contract/document issue, coordinate billing and claims training with policyholders and specialized administration activities. Influence internal and external customers to meet deadlines.
