ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

 

This opportunity is with American Snuff Company— the nation’s second largest manufacturer of smokeless tobacco products. The company's brands include Grizzly and Kodiak. You will work in our manufacturing facility in Clarksville, TN.


This role is highly visible and is an integral part of the ASC Manufacturing team with tremendous learning opportunities. The intern in this position will be provide decision and analytical support to critical cross-functional areas and the manufacturing management team.


You will be assigned a challenging research project with a focus on manufacturing engineering, requiring creative thinking, problem solving, and teamwork as you interact with other personnel throughout our winning organization.


In addition, you will have fun while adding value and encountering outstanding career development support. This role is for a summer internship across the span of 10 weeks, and will conclude by mid-August.

TO SUCEED AN OPERATIONS (ENGINEERING) INTERN at AMERICAN SNUFF COMPANY IN 2019 YOU SHOULD BE:

  • A student who is working toward a BS degree in Engineering with at least two years of exposure to courses core to your concentration;

  • Able to work a full-time schedule during our 10-week internship experience starting in June;

  • Excited to work in a manufacturing environment where hands-on application of your engineering skills will be utilized;

  • Knowledgeable about statistical concepts;

  • An innovative leader with strong influencing skills;

    AND SOMEONE WHO:
     

  • Displays excellent interpersonal skills;

  • Has superior verbal and written communication skills;

  • Is willing to relocate to Clarksville, TN for the summer.
