As a member of the Americas Field Operations (AFO) team within Agilent's Diagnostic and Genomics Group (DGG), The Genomics Product Specialist will focus primarily on driving sales of our newly formed Biomolecular Analysis Division (BAD) products. This new division combines the complimentary instruments and reagents from AATI (Fragment Analyzer, FEMTO Pulse, ZAG DNA Analyzer, Oligo PRO II) with Agilent's portfolio of biomolecule QC tools (Bioanalyzer and Tapestation). As an integral member of the field sales team, you will use your excellent technical sales track record and NGS workflow expertise, to focus on acquiring new customers while retaining and growing the existing installed base of customers. The Product Specialist works with the territory account managers in an overlapping role, and provides technical expertise in the pre and post sales process. As a product specialist, you will be expected to develop and implement successful strategies and tactics in conjunction with the account manager. In collaboration with your regional Genomics team, that includes field application scientists, account managers, and inside account managers, you will also maintain and expand relationships with all types of customers in the assigned territory, such as key research institutes, hospital and reference laboratories, pharma/biotech, academic, government, contract research organizations (CROs), consortia and other organizations.
As a Genomics Product Specialist you would be responsible for generating existing and/or new sales for assigned named accounts or assigned geographic, territory, industry or accounts list, or for identifying and recruiting strategic partners to embed and/or resell company products. Promotes and sells products and/or solutions to current or new customers/partners and informs customers of new product introductions. Creates monitors and revises lead generation plans. Responsible for developing customers and maintaining their satisfaction. Maintains positive ongoing long-term relationships with key customers.
