Job Summary:
Will have the primary responsibility for leading projects related to analysis, monitoring and reporting of mission-critical applications and associated interfaces. Will work with end users, business and technical teams in the initial analysis and provide recommendations to drive the resolution of issues and to improve user satisfaction, policy compliance and business efficiency.

This role will require a technical understanding of data setup in different systems and technologies, data flows, transformation logic, and troubleshooting of various system/customer issues. The Analyst will gather, analyze, interpret and report on data collected from multiple sources and will be responsible for developing polished, high-impact, persuasive reports, presentations or dashboards that enable strategic decision making. The types of analysis will include identifying trends, root cause analysis and detecting anomalous data patterns. The Analyst will need to be comfortable utilizing a variety of technologies ranging from standard relational database technologies like Oracle and MS SQL Server to unstructured data technologies like Elastic Search, Splunk, Kibana, Hadoop, etc.

Major Duties
- Evaluates policy documentation and create business requirements for monitoring compliance.
- Correlate front-end issues with underlying system errors.
- Ability to isolate data issues to a specific design or application and work with the system owner(s) and policy managers to review proposed solution and drive consensus.
- Track end to end resolution of issues and provide regular reports on progress.
- Understand the data flows between various systems.
- Possess good business acumen and the ability to apply to analysis of business issues.
- Identify gaps and areas in need of efficiencies or policy compliance and recommend improvements related to gaps in people, process, technology and data.
- Become an SME (Subject Matter Expert) in key areas of acquired knowledge and advise technical and business partners when required.
- Where possible, automate reporting and monitoring to dashboards.
- Trend policy compliance and identify policies that deviate from normal or accepted tolerances.
- Quantify risk associated with noncompliance to business policies.
- Identify and escalate high severity problems and engage teams based upon the nature of the issue.
- Perform escalations to external teams in accordance with departmental standards and perform notifications as needed.
- Work with end users to get their feedback, understand their needs, and recommendations to improve their product experience.
- Analyze and monitor production server logs for anomalies.
- Prepare charts, reports, white papers, and presentations for senior leadership.
- Communicate effectively with users, management and external teams.
- May join bridges during outages or deployments.
- Develop and improve documentation to enhance and support problem analysis and resolution.
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize based upon the situation.
- Must have regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
- Ensure adequate cross-training to provide high quality coverage at all times.
- Help maximize team productivity by taking personal responsibility for customer satisfaction and leading the team to do the same.

Job Specification:
- Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience
- More than 5 years of related experience.
- Good knowledge with writing and analyzing SQL.
- Knowledge of Tableau or other data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of Python, R or other scripting languages.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and technology.
- 4+ yrs experience in process analytics analysis.
- Experience with REST or SOAP APIs.
- Ability to analyze unstructured data i.e. application logs.
- Experience working with Linux/Solaris/Unix OS.
- Familiarity with No-SQL, Hadoop, Splunk, Kibana etc.
- Familiarity with Kafka, Spark, SSIS etc.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology.
- Experience in generating reports from the data gathered from various systems.
- Should have excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Should have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be a team player.
