We are specifically looking for someone to join us at our Silicon Valley Campus as a member of Agilent's IT's End User Computing team. You will be joining a team of highly motivated and talented Information Technology (IT) professionals responsible for the delivery of end user solutions that enable Agilent's engineers and scientist to invent, build and sell innovative and state of the art technology and solutions. In this role you will focus on Unified Communication (Audio conferencing, Video conferencing, etc) and End User Device management (PC and Mobile devices).


You will start your job learning about the various management solutions that are used to manage the PCs and Mobile devices worldwide. You will also learn about our Audio Conferencing, Web conferencing and Video conferencing solutions. This includes solutions for software distribution, patching, AV, Encryption, Client firewall, PC network access, backup solutions, Webex, and Telepresence. This is your first chance to apply all of your classroom education to the real world. You will get to technically explore the client, provide end user trouble shooting, monitor online forums, and gain knowledge by working with a team of IT professionals. Next you will learn about service management and deployment within Agilent by participating in rolling out new functionality/enhancements to the global client base. You will learn the processes and also work on the technical design and deployment. By the end of the first year of the job, you will be fully accountable for running one or more of these management services for all of Agilent. This includes the day to day operational tasks, working with the technology to try out new features, trouble shoot etc. and develop a roadmap for future releases.

In order to be successful, you will rely on your strong technical educational background in networks, operating systems, security and mobile devices. You will also demonstrate your excellent communication skills by working with management, end-users and other colleagues, both individual and on teams. To thrive you must be a self-starter, curious, a quick learner and flexible to work on a variety of tasks including non-technical work as required.
