About the Job

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated and people-oriented individual to join a growing Team that is connecting customer needs in the Biomedical and Biotechnology research and emerging Diagnostics space to cutting edge Genomics solutions from Agilent Technologies. The solutions include technologies for targeted next-generation sequencing, DNA microarrays for copy number and SNP analysis, microfluidics, in addition to bioinformatics and automation solutions for all of the above.



Primary Function:

Achieve sales and customer satisfaction objectives in Clinical Key Accounts by developing relationships, uncovering needs and through consultation, assembling resources to serve up solutions that match the vision of influential groups and individuals.



You will develop and execute your plans to achieve greater wallet share and penetration of nominated Clinical Key Accounts. You will nurture relationships and with the support of Agilent's global organization, will become a trusted consultant to your Key Accounts; they in turn becoming strong reference sites.

* Interprets customer needs and works to meet those needs; identifies potential business opportunities, able to handle leads independently

* Works on sales assignments with broadly defined objectives

* Solves some non-routine issues, challenges and problems within field of specialization









Sales: Responsible for generating existing and/or new sales for assigned named accounts or assigned geographic, territory, industry or accounts list, or for identifying and recruiting strategic partners to embed and/or resell company products. Promotes and sells products and/or solutions to current or new customers/partners and informs customers of new product introductions. Creates monitors and revises lead generation plans. Responsible for developing customers and maintaining their satisfaction. Maintains positive ongoing long-term relationships with key customers.



* Proactively acts to understand customer needs and identify solutions to non-standard tasks/queries; actively creates business opportunities

* Determines and develops approaches to sales assignments to achieve quota/ strategies

* Leads projects requiring coordination with other functions, organizations

* Solves a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity
