Program Overview:


The Comcast Center Internship Program (CCIP) is an internship program based at our headquarters in Philadelphia, PA The program is designed to identify high-caliber talent to build our organization with the best and the brightest students who come from a variety of sourcing channels, including on-campus career fairs, partner organizations, and direct applications. In this role you will immerse yourself into the Comcast culture, working side by side with innovative and talented Comcasters. You will cultivate meaningful relationships and develop strong interpersonal and business skills that will set you apart from your peers. As an intern in the program, you would expect to work a 30-40 hour/week schedule.

Additionally, your experience will include:


- Engagement: Working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units at Comcast during your cooperative experience

- Exposure: An inside look into the day-to-day operations of an organization at the cutting edge of media and technology.&

& & & & & & -& This particular role has a dependency and an interface with every function in Scott’s organization (comp dictates data, which dictates reporting…tool changes impact data changes, which impacts reporting, data engineering team needs to build asset before it can be leveraged in Einstein Analytics)& &

& & & & & & - This role falls into the National Reporting domain and is – a shared services model, meaning customers span the following groups&

& & & & & & & & - Divisions & Regions (Governance model)&

& & & & & & & & - Sales Channel Leaders (Byproduct of what happens in respective channel “4” calls)&

& & & & & & & & - “Blue Chip” priorities from Dan Lafond and Scott Engle


From a macro-level, the roles and responsibilities are essentially cut into three different segments:&

- Partnership with Customer Base: Understanding what our sales channels need to understand the health of the business, knowing systems/tool dependencies, and challenging/influencing new business and technical questions to answer (i.e. challenge the status quo, come to the table with opinions and recommendations)

- Partnership with Data Operations: Being the liaison between the sales channels and the data engineering team, help shape and refine business requirements into user stories, articulate specific data contingencies (sources, queries, business rules/logic). Channel owns this piece, but you need to help refine technical aspect and help influence the answer to “what’s possible?”& &

- Actual Reporting and Analytics Build: Owning the part of the business intelligence lifecycle after data asset is available and leading dashboard build through to business review/acceptance testing/piloting, developing visualizations and user experience design, and recommending functionality improvements/enhancements to drive adoption and utilization (inclusive of custom Salesforce Analytics Query Language and inherent mastery of Salesforce Einstein platform)


Preferred Qualifications/Requirements:


- Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university with the Grad year of 2020 or 2021 (Sophomores and Juniors)

- Major: Finance, Operations Management, Management Informations Systems Information Technology, and Information Systems&

- Minimum GPA: 3.2

- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint

- Experience with Microsoft Excel, required

- Must have excellent time management and verbal/written communication skills

- Must have great attention to detail and organizational skills

- Must have ability to interface with all levels of management

- Must be able to work evenings (when necessary)

- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment

- Strong interest in the telecommunications, cable and media industries

- Ability to work on a team

- Authorized to work in the United States of America
