Position Summary:

The Customer Reporting team is responsible for reporting accurate customer data and trends in support of the finance and accounting organization. The Customer Reporting team produces daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for senior executives that are the official source of customer information throughout the organization. This role supports the Manager and the Executive Director of Customer Reporting and supervises multiple analysts.


- Supervise the daily operations needed to support daily, weekly, and monthly customer reporting

- Ensure accuracy in all customer metrics that come out of Essbase

-Manage the maintenance and administration of the customer reporting environment including building new products, channel lineups, activity types, etc.

- Maintain all NDW reference files, ie. Org Hierarchy, Product and Courtesy Mappings

- Understand the importance of our Business Partners and our common goal for timely and accurate reporting of our customers and their activities

- Analyze customer trends utilized for executive reporting such as RGUs, Customer Relationships, Churn, Connect Volume and other key performance indicators (KPIs)

- Supervise units cabled financial reporting including daily audits, database configuration, activity, etc.

- Assist with complex pro formas in the subscriber database

- Reporting request management

-Intake all adhoc/new reporting requests from business partners

- Assign the development to team analysts and validate prior to dissemination

-Urgently provide customer reporting data requests out of Essbase

- Provide timely monthly and quarterly support to FP&A and other Business Partners for senior management reporting

- Execute monthly analytics on Customer Reporting metrics

- Create executive level presentations to summarize analytical findings

- Develop new ways to analyze data and ultimately present to FP&A

- Work with external reporting and IR at the end of each quarter to validate external customer metrics and support future external customer reporting requirements

- Prepare documentation and work with internal audit to ensure processes are Sarbanes Oxley compliant

- Analyze financial and operational data/performance metrics, communicate findings and risks, and make suggestions to improve processes

- Possess understanding of Company policies and procedures and continually implement and review policies and procedures for consistency

- Train, supervise, and develop staff

-Supervise the day to day performance of the team and make suggestions to upper management for work performance improvement

- Consistent exercise of independent judgement and discretion in matters of significance

- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary

- Perform additional business operations duties and tasks as required


- High-level of proficiency in the advanced features of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint

- High-level of proficiency with Hyperion Essbase and SmartView preferred

- Experience with Teradata, Oracle, Tableau preferred

- Hands-on experience with database and reporting tools

- Project Management experience a plus

- Effective team leader

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work within all levels of the organization

- Familiar with finance and accounting concepts

- The ability to create and post reports on the web a plus

- Experience working in a data warehouse environment

- Ability to write SQL statements to collect, analyze and report large amounts of data a plus

- Prior Comcast experience a plus

Education Level Bachelor's Degree, Master's degree preferred

Years of Experience Generally requires 3-5 years of related work experience
