We are looking for a Legal Assistant to join the Litigation team within the Legal & Compliance Department. This person should be self-sufficient and have proven capability juggling multiple tasks at the same time. This person must be a quick learner with impeccable attention to detail. If you enjoy working in a team environment and have an interest in joining an in-house litigation team, this could be the position for you!


  • Assist paralegals, in-house attorneys, and outside counsel with all stages of litigation, including intake, pleadings, depositions, etc. 
  • Locate and order documents and records related to litigation matters.
  • Ensure compliance with litigation hold procedures, including sending email notifications and tracking custodian responses.
  • Coordinate the review and payment of legal bills for outside counsel.
  • Prepare reports, communications, correspondence and legal documents.
  • Communicate and interact professionally with persons at all levels in the organization, industry, and community.




  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years’ administrative work experience in a law office or legal department, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
  • Skills & Knowledge: General knowledge of legal terminology strongly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and/or claims experience is a bonus. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and oral communication. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat. Detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
