The Lead Manager Consumer and Market Insights designs, executes and translates market research learning into insights that deliver an enhanced understanding of consumers and the marketplace. This position provides value by applying research, analysis and a comprehensive understanding of the consumer to influence and drive achievement of corporate objectives. Additionally, this individual should maintain strong credibility and consistently demonstrate effective leadership, influencing and presentation skills.

 

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define consumer and market learning needs; provide counsel on potential research approaches, outcomes and insight application
  • Execute custom and ad-hoc research projects/analyses to support consumer and market information needs.
  • Translate research data and analyses into strategic implications that are actionable, impactful, and accessible to stakeholders
  • Report/present insights and implications in an informative, compelling, and memorable manner to shape and influence business decisions; collaborate with key stakeholders for insight socialization.
  • Collaborate with the broader consumer and market research team to assess marketplace impacts based on consumer driven behavior to include cross-category interaction, competitive assessments, portfolio impact, new category interaction and business drivers
  • Advance the consumer and market research agenda; prepare appropriate research proposals and bids from third party vendors; manage research projects and analyses to time and budget.
  • Support the maintenance of a robust network of internal and external expertise to facilitate early identification of new methodologies and best-in-class research and analytical practices.
  • Synthesize information across projects and sources to uncover insights and address macro issues

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Bachelor of Science required and Master's Degree in Business preferred
  • Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or relative quantitative degree will be considered

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

  • 3+ years related work experience in business/commercial analytics
  • Experience with a broad range of custom market research
  • Demonstrated ability to understand broader business issues and seek resolution
