About the Job

The Director Consumer and Market Insights in Strategy & Planning is responsible for providing departmental and cross functional leadership which delivers holistic marketplace, consumer research and consumer insights that influence and drive achievement of corporate objectives.



  • Assess 3rd party Consumer Engagement program to determine Share of Requirements impact, deliver effectiveness feedback, and support financial business case
  • Evaluate 1-to-1 Consumer Marketing initiatives across all channels (Website, Direct Marketing, Email, Mobile Apps, etc.) for all brands to deliver insights that optimize future activities
  • Develop and manage an annual research agenda and related budget, reflective of the strategic questions, business drivers, and brand initiatives of the organization; prepare appropriate research proposals and bids from third party vendors for custom consumer research as required; manage research projects and analyses to time and budget
  • Translate commercial and consumer analyses into strategic implications that are actionable, impactful, and accessible to stakeholders
  • Communicate insights and implications (reports and presentations) in an informative, compelling, and memorable manner to shape and influence business decisions; collaborate with business unit and key stakeholders for insight socialization
  • Synthesize information across projects and sources to uncover insights and address macro issues
  • Challenge existing paradigms to drive continuous improvement across the organization



  • Bachelor of Science and Master's Degree in Business preferred
  • Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or relative quantitative degree will be considered


  • 8+ years related work experience in the business/commercial analytics
  • Experience with custom marketing research
  • Demonstrated ability to understand broader business issues and seek resolution


  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to identify business opportunities in commercial and consumer performance factors to influence outcomes
  • Research experience across: sales, marketing, database marketing and syndicated data sources is helpful
  • Knowledgeable of industry standard research methodologies
  • Responsive, enthusiastic, and team oriented
  • Database management skills preferred
