The Translational Biology group is seeking an experienced Immunologist and/or Oncologist to lead a group focused on translational research in autoimmunity and immuno-oncology. The group is focused on the generation of human translational data to support the generation of hypotheses for disease selection and patient stratification across various disease indications. Human tissues are used to dissect pathways involved in the pathophysiology of autoimmunity and tumor immune mechanisms. In addition to a supervisory role for scientists, the candidate will be a representative on various translational teams to help guide discovery biology and early clinical development. The candidate will play a key role in driving the strategy of the translational biology group, working with teams to identify key translational questions and devising an approach to address questions using both internally generated data and information from collaborations. Additionally, the candidate will interact closely with other members of the group in a highly collaborative fashion to manage the day to day scientific studies. The role is highly interactive and will require working with discovery scientists, clinicians, bioinformaticians and biomarker scientists. This role will have a significant impact on the future development of BMS drug candidates.
