Responsibilities: With a primary focus of building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers, the Channel Account Executive serves as an extension of the vendor or technology category and is responsible for educating and enabling the sale of new and different technical products, programs, and/or services. As the strategist and steward of the vendor or category, the Channel Account Executive creates business strategies and opportunities to initiate and expand relationships with customers and potential customers to achieve revenue, profit, and market share objectives set forth for their associated vendor or category. Maintaining sound knowledge of diverse industry trends and technologies, the Channel Account Executive is responsible for leveraging their expertise, along with the experience of other Ingram Micro experts, to build, position, and sell new and advanced solutions, programs, and services. Works closely with the account owners, Sales Executive and/or Sales Representatives, to ensure delivery of a unified message. Communicates with Ingram Micro staff to ensure that internal support and team members understand, and are able to properly support sales opportunities. Maintains consistent communication with all parties regarding key initiatives pertaining to account to further grow profitable business. Provides specialized consultation, education, training, and sales resources to peers and external partners to enable vendor and reseller success and acts as an extension of the vendor organization to drive programs and vendor initiatives to channel partners. Creates and communicates tactical and strategic initiatives and forecasts aligned with the direction of the organization and divisional objectives. Travel up to 50% (which may include international travel). Requirements: Education: Minimum High school diploma (or equivalent) required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Requirements: Seven years or more of previous sales/customer service experience (preferably in a related industry), or five years of technology or distribution experience in a sales/customer service capacity. These timeframes may vary based on the candidate’s ability to demonstrate required knowledge/skills/experiences, provided an equivalent combination of formal education, training and directly related job experience. Skills: Demonstrated understanding of strategic selling principles, order management, project management, and operations. Proven success in growing and maintaining year-over-year sales results. Skilled in: Negotiations, closing sales, Pipeline Management, coaching and developing Associates in high performance culture, and order management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to present in both technical and non-technical terms to large and small audiences, in formal and informal settings. Demonstrated business and financial acumen. Knowledgeable of Profit and Loss and Forecasting concepts. Demonstrates influence effectively when driving ideas and initiatives with internal and external partners, proven ability to multi-task, respond to rapid change, manage projects, manage detail, manage relationships and resources, and set realistic and achievable goals/objectives and timelines.
