Position Summary

The Leadership Development lead creates an overall Leadership Development strategy as well as innovative programs, processes and tools to build leadership in our executive and high potential talent.

Detailed Position Responsibilities

Responsible for developing and delivering an innovative leadership development strategy to improve leadership capability for our executive and high potential talent\:

  • Contributes to the development of a strategy for the development of leaders within the organization to support internal capability building and improve leadership effectiveness
  • Assesses and evaluates leadership capabilities and development needs in alignment with business objectives
  • Cultivates strategic partnerships with the Head of Talent Strategy, Head of Growth & Development and Head of Professional Development, as well as People Strategy Integrated Solutions Teams, HRBP community and Business Leaders to create and manage strategic development opportunities for leaders
  • Manages, as program design lead, the leadership programs
  • Leads the continuous update of digital leadership content on the BMS Leadership portal (Leadership Connect)
  • Works closely with external resources, including Talent experts, practitioners and consultants to create and lead via a matrix team the leadership development program components
  • Collects feedback on leadership development programs and makes adjustments to program content and delivery as needed
  • Seeks out and integrates the latest multimedia/learning tools to make development initiatives more effective and engaging
  • Liaises effectively with internal and external stakeholders and builds effective and productive working relationships
  • Forms partnerships with external learning resources (e.g., universities and learning institutions) to integrate non-traditional learning and development experiences into leadership development programs; manages the strategic partnership with external partnerships

Experience Desired

  • Bachelors and 10+ years of relevant experience required; Masters in Business Administration, HR Management, Industrial-Organizational Psychology or similar is strongly preferred.
  • Deep expert knowledge of leadership and management development concepts, models, tools, programs/suppliers and multiple learning methodologies
  • Deep expertise in building high-potential and accelerator programs
  • Proven success with implementing learning methods or information tools outside of the traditional classroom, eLearning, simulations, and assessments.
  • Possess strong knowledge base in organizational capability development, adult & organizational learning theory, has understanding of learning solution design and development and professional and management development concepts
  • Knowledge of organizational models, development and team dynamics.
  • Ability to develop and manage a process that articulates strategic, tactical and financial goals, plans and dependencies
  • Experience or expertise in an additional area of focus within the CTWI (growth and development, leadership development, management of high potential talent, managing performance and creating a compelling and engaging employee experience) would be preferred
