Join our team and play a leading role implementing industry best practices to design fully integrated, scalable, and flexible global infrastructure solutions.

Your Role:

As a member of Ingram Micro’s Data Infrastructure team you will help drive the next evolution of BI’s data foundations. You will be a key contributor to leading and implementing the full System Development Lifecycle from requirements gathering and definition, technology selection, system design, data mapping and modeling, system builds, test, promotion to production, through full deployment.

  • Perform data warehousing management, database optimization, and administration
  • Execute ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Load) - for extracting data from a specific source, applying transformation rules, and loading it into the data warehouse area
  • Maintain development, test, and production environments
  • Expand and provide sustained support of the system architecture
  • Provide data integration services: acquire, cleanse, merge, validate, visualize and data mining
  • Capture business rules, build design documents and documentation to meet user requirements
  • Be the subject matter expert on your projects and work to integrate data inputs and outputs into custom built tools/applications
  • Collaborate with our technology partners, analytical consultants, and data scientists across various initiatives, platforms, and Business Units

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related technical discipline
  • 5+ years hands on industry experience in the role of a Data Integration specialist in a Data Warehouse, IS, or BI environment
  • Experience gathering and processing raw data (structured/unstructured) at scale, including writing scripts, web scraping, calling APIs, writing SQL queries on a variety of platforms, etc…
  • Dev-Ops experience
  • System Administration/Architecture experience
  • Data Warehousing: expertise in relational databases/multidimensional data warehouse design
  • Expertise in SQL
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, Java, C#, VB, JavaScript, SAS, Matlab, or equivalent
  • Experience in capacity planning for computation and storage needs
  • Competency in developing solutions for diverse and complex business problems
  • Support business decisions with Ad-Hoc analysis as needed
  • Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing environments, manage multiple large projects
  • Proactive, initiative taker, possess ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • A collaborative working style and ability to work independently in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

How to Stand Out:

  • MS/PhD degree in a technical field or equivalent
  • Experience building SSIS packages in Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Experience building systems to transition from datasets ranging from gigabytes to terabytes
  • Implement Big Data technologies (e.g., Pig, Hive, Spark, Hbase, Presto, Sqoop, Hadoop, Impala)
  • Knowledge of AWS Data Stack using S3, EMR, Data Pipeline
  • Technical experience with Cloud Infrastructure
  • Project Management Skills and Tools
