We are seeking a visionary Director of Business Initiatives to lead our business operations team through a growth phase with a number of multi-million dollar projects. This position will play an integral role in Ingram Micro’s future direction and ultimate success.
The Director will provide strategic oversight, planning and execution for both program (on-going) and project management of critical corporate initiatives targeted at ensuring that the company’s overall strategic plans are implemented in a successful, timely and accurate fashion. While the majority of efforts surround customer and sales related efforts, significant emphasis is placed projects and programs that ensure the company’s overall strategic objectives are met, and that revenue, margin and cost containment goals are realized.
Education: BA or equivalent field of study required and/or in progress. Masters of Business Administration desired and/or additional coursework and/or certification in Six Sigma, Design for Six Sigma, and/or PMP certification desired.
A minimum of 8 years industry experience in like and/or complimentary roles is required; including at least 3 years of staff management (specific to supervising management level associates) is required.
Knowledge of: Project Management techniques; IT distribution industry and cross-functional team management
Skill in: critical thinking; removing obstacles and driving results; using sound judgment and business acumen to accurately analyze information and make solid recommendations; balance strategic direction and guidance with tactical detail and expertise
Ability to: problem solve; multitask; work with little formal guidelines and direction; make decisions using the appropriate level of information; provide appropriate guidance to others; balance external and internal requirements
Travel may be required based upon project specific requirements. Overnight, as well as international travel will be necessary, but will typically not exceed 20% of the time.
