The IS Support Manager has primary responsibility for managing Ingram Micro’s support organization in the Integration activities  areasand/or support for B2B and/or EAI.  Business to business (B2B) is the electronic exchange and integration of information with external trading partners.  Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) is the framework of technologies and services to enable integration of systems and applications across the enterprise. The IS Support Manager is responsible for supporting the organization for all middleware and integration solutions. The IS Manager will collaborate closely with the Business Analyst teams, Global IS teams, and the Global Infrastructure team to align the support of Integration solutions.


The IS Support Manager is knowledgeable in middleware and integration technologies, and provides oversight to the support team for all matters concerning Integration. The IS Support Manager will also be responsible for suggesting changes based on monitoring and incident tickets. This position is also responsible for meeting all the SLA’s business has with the IS Support organization. This position will also represent B2B/ EAI area in the significant and high incident meeting with executives and talk about some of these incident tickets. This position will contribute to improving the ability of business teams to adopt, support and promote Ingram Micro capabilities. In addition, this position will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the area of integration.  The IS Support Manager will participate with other technical leads and directors in setting the architectural roadmap for integration.  The IS Support Manager must be able to research and evaluate additional tools and services in the marketplace that can be utilized to provide enhanced functionality to our solutions and systems portfolio.  May be required to provide 7/24 on-call support for business critical events.


Must demonstrate the ability to independently weigh alternatives and determine strategy.  The IS Support manager will have direct reports with administrative responsibilities.



  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Relevant Science and Math disciplines with an IS emphasis. MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 
    • Minimum of 10+ years of programming and systems design, deployment and management OR Master’s degree and 7 years of  programming and systems design, deployment and management experience is required. 
    • Demonstrated experience in handling a large support teams across different continents which provide support throughout 24 hours in the middleware technologies.
    • Demonstrated technical skills and knowledge of eCommerce platforms, B2B Integration including EDI/XML/Flat File, B2B consolidation, Supply Chain automation, ERP (preferably SAP ECC), with expertise in at least one middleware platform such as Seeburger, TIBCO, Sterling Commerce and/or Axway.
    • Experience with using middleware technology to integrate ERP systems such as SAP ECC (IDOC, BAPI, RFC) and/or legacy systems.
    • Experience with data transport protocols such as VAN, AS1/2/3, SOAP, FTP, HTTPS
    • Demonstrated skills and knowledge of B2B integration technologies including EDI, EDIFACT, TRADACOMS, XML, RosettaNet
    • Experience with eCommerce and B2B technical implementations including map development, and middleware application configuration.
    • Functional knowledge in at least one of the following functional areas: Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Supply Chain and/or Finance preferred
    • Experience with using middleware technology to integrate ERP systems such as SAP ECC (IDOC, BAPI, RFC) and/or legacy systems.
    • Messaging experience in one of TIBCO EMS, IBM MQ Series, Active MQ or other JMS.
    • Must have superior knowledge of Web Services, XML and SOAP.  Knowledge of WS-* is desirable.
    • Knowledge of TIBCO R3 Adapter is preferred.
    • Developer level experience one or more RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or Sybase.
