The Syracuse Biologics Manufacturing operation produces clinical, commercial and launch biologics drug substance at its 5000L scale manufacturing facility (mammalian cell process) in Syracuse, NY.

 

The Cell Bank Planner is a key link between Manufacturing Operations, Quality and Supply Chain Planning across GPS to drive cell bank schedule alignment.

Duties/Responsibilities\:

  • Serves as coordinator to ensure SAP Master Data is set-up appropriately to manufacture, use and ship cell banks.
  • Create the Bill of Materials for cell bank manufacturing.
  • Write change controls for cell banks as well as monitor related change actions.
  • Acts as the Inventory Custodian for all commercial and clinical cell banks.
  • Responsible for planning capacity of resources against aggressive timelines.
  • Provide comprehensive information, analytics and visibility around cell bank supply. 
  • Manages cell bank change controls to ensure correct level of alignment and approval.
  • Manages through multiple matrix organizations and drives manufacturing, reevaluation, shipment and release requirements.
  • Collaborates with Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing Science and Technology, Process Development, External Manufacturing and Quality staff to ensure utilization of data, systems, and interfaces optimize efficiency and cGMP compliance. 
  • Demonstrates leadership and change management skills. 
  • Work with teams to identify problems, analyze information, and develop and implement solutions.

Qualification:

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, etc\:

  • Understanding of cell bank manufacturing, planning knowledge, change control processes, and cGMP. High Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, SAP, and TrackWise is required. Lean Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt experience preferred. 

Education/Experience/ Licenses/Certifications\:

  • 5-8 years of work-related experience in Supply Chain, Quality or Manufacturing with emphasis in Production Planning/Scheduling, Materials Analysis, and Inventory Control. 
  • Experience with SAP is required. General understanding of typical end-to-end planning and material management functions. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities against ambitious timelines.
