Manage and secure internal and external resources in order to deliver onsite enrollment, re-enrollment and professional educational presentations for employees of The Standard’s voluntary benefits clients in order to achieve business growth and customer retention targets. Ensure effective use of critical resources based on availability, location, skill set, experience, state licensing requirements and other pertinent factors.
Consult with internal and external partners during the pre and post-sale process to design and implement a customized enrollment strategy for each employer based on their unique set of circumstances. Pro-actively schedule, design and determine content for enrollment meetings and benefit fairs to meet customer needs and maximize employee participation.
Secure internal and external resources to ensure delivery of all aspects of the enrollment, reenrollment and education process for employees of our voluntary benefits customers. Engage enrollment firms to source benefit counselors for onsite enrollment, as appropriate. Proactively schedule resources based on client needs, availability, location, skill set, experience, state licensing requirements and other pertinent factors. Develop and maintain effective enrollment scheduling system/processes.
Recuit, hire and maintain staff of external benefit counselors. Train benefit counselors to maximize participation in voluntary benefits plans by motivating enrollment through persuasive product value stories. Train benefit counselors on The Standard’s products and services, employer dynamics, enrollment needs, communication plans and products to be offered.
Track individual success of enrollment events by gathering, evaluating and reporting enrollment meeting results. Meet revenue and cost objectives for onsite enrollment events; specifically for voluntary benefits. Communicate and reinforce expense management guidelines around onsite travel and appropriate event and enrollment expenses. Monitor expense reports, review post-event reports and other required paperwork.
Participate in sales presentations for National Account prospects by presenting The Standard’s enrollment capabilities. Provide onsite overflow enrollment support as needed.
Education: Four year college or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience within the financial services industry. Public speaking experience required. Bilingual and insurances sales experience is a plus.
License required: Life and Disability license in states within assigned territory.
Travel and scheduling flexibility is required.
