Responsibilities: The Sr Technical IT Services Architect works closely with Ingram Micro customers and vendor partners to plan and implement end user solutions. The Sr Architect uses technical competence and customer service skills to represent Ingram Micro and our partners in client engagements. The Sr Architect ensures successful post-sales planning and implementation services while also sharing best practices and lessons learned from direct experiences in related IT areas. The Sr Architect leverages people, process and technologies to develop solutions, eliminate waste, and deliver values to our partners and end users. Using IT architectural methodologies, the Sr Architect develops and communicates a vision that leads to the definition of a solution strategy aligned with business requirements. In accordance with end users’ strategy and business needs, the Sr Architect is responsible to design, develop, and implement technology solutions that drive the transformation of a current situation to a desired state in an agile, efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable manner. Requirements: Education: Bachelor degree in Engineering, IT, Solution Architecture, Computer Science, or related is required; Master’s degree will be a plus. Experience: 8-10+years in technology or a related industry. At least 6 years as an engineer, architect or field services consultant. Experience may include a technical professional services consulting company, hardware, software, or Technology Company. Certification experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas: System Architecture Design and Implementation (AD&I) for IBM or HP or Cisco environment Storage AD&I for EMC, HP or NetApp environments Network AD&I for Cisco HP or other networking environment, Virtualization AD&I for VMWare, Citrix or MS HyperV environment Microsoft Office 365 migration services Unified Communication AD&I for Cisco and other environments Infrastructure as a Service AD&I for services such as Amazon Web Services Rackspace Preferred trainings/certifications: Cisco – CCDA, CCNP, CCVP, CCIE Cisco - UCS HP MACE – Storage, Networking, HP Servers Microsoft Hyper-V Citrix – CCEE, CCIA VMware – VCP, VCAP, VCDX Fluke – AirMagnet Knowledge of IT industry and channel related to technologies such as Network Security, High End Storage, Network Switching/Routing, Virtualization, and/or Wireless Networking, Expert understanding of Ingram Micro Technical Support and all resources available. Competitive industry technical knowledge. Experience with hands-on planning and implementation of IT solutions and experience working with vendors and resellers. Basic project management skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong customer facing technical presence with the ability to solve complex problems. Good documentation and communication skills. Self-starter – takes initiative and willing to roll up sleeves in a startup environment. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Comfortable serving as a consultant, leading discussions and distilling complex technical topics. Ability to work cross-functionally, manages time, work toward common goals, and work independently as well as in group/team settings. Travel up to 45% (May include international)
