Senior Research Investigator I (PET Imaging)
About the Job
BMS is seeking an Imaging Scientist with expertise in Positron
Emission Tomography (PET). The Research Investigator will be part of a team of
imaging scientists engaged in characterization of new PET tracers (assessments
of specificity, etc). The Research Investigator will also contribute to more
traditional molecular imaging biomarker identification and assay development
across the portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for the
entirety of the preclinical imaging experiment (study design, data acquisition,
analysis, and interpretation) as well as the translation of these biomarkers to
clinical trials. He/she will collaborate with clinicians, biologists and other
scientists across all therapeutic areas. The candidate will be expected to participate
in team meetings and present scientific results.
Ph.D. or equivalent in Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology
or Physics with 4 years of post-graduate experience in Positron Emission
Tomography and a proven track record of hands-on experience in either an
academic institution or pharmaceutical industry.
Extensive knowledge of imaging applications to preclinical imaging
is required, in particular tracer development.
Experience with multi-modality imaging is desirable.
Sound knowledge in chemistry and biology for developing successful
imaging biomarkers for drug discovery programs is preferable.
Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team,
demonstrated problem-solving skills, good communication skills, and flexibility
to succeed in a dynamic and changing environment are necessary.
