Operations Manager I

Location: Seattle Facility

Area: Shipping, Receiving and Pickups

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees as required to maintain warehouse goals
  • Coordinate warehouse activities to ensure all goals and objectives are met by scheduling and assigning personnel; establishing priorities;  and monitoring progress and results against production deadlines and service level agreements
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and applying organization standards
  • Maintain inventory backlog within customer  and internal service level agreements
  • Identify and resolve employee performance exceptions and take immediate corrective action by analyzing data and facts; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
  • Coach, counsel, and discipline employees and enforce systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure team compliance of all established and controlled process work instructions and policies
  • Ensure safety of employees and compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations
  • Maintain 5S housekeeping standards
  • Perform monthly safety audits and correct any issues identified
  • Evaluate processes, recommend and implement continuous improvement ideas.
  • Achieve cost, inventory and warehouse objectives
  • Complete daily Quality, 5S and Safety audits and Inventory Cycle Counts
  • Complete daily timekeeping approvals
  • Ensure new business requirements are properly launched
  • Address internal and external customer issues
  • Maintain consumable supplies, spare parts and kitting inventory storage
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations
  • Spend 100% of work day on the warehouse floor
  • Conduct periodic team communication meetings
  • Supervise Ingram Micro drivers and ensure all DOT and customer requirements are being met
  • Supervise shipping and receiving teams and ensure all KPI’s are being met
  • Ability to perform pickups with drivers
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager

 

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor's degree or an Associate degree with equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 5-7 years or verifiable supervisor experience in a warehouse environment
  • CDL license is a plus
  • Pick and Pack experience is a plus
  • ITAD (Information Technology Asset Disposition) experience a plus
  • PC literate with Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge and experience working in an ISO accredited organization
  • Strong leadership and motivation skills
  • Attention to detail, well organized, accurate
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team driven customer service environment

 

 

 

 

 

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment: 

  • Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for an 8 hour shift some occasional  climbing
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Manual dexterity to use keyboard to input information
  • Ability to work full-time schedule
  • Ability to use standard office equipment
  • Ability to work non-standard hours
  • Ability to work weekends
  • Ability to travel 25% (if required)
