The team also develops and supports our evolving network architecture, including next-generation consumer systems and technologies, infrastructure and engineering, network integration and management tools, and technical standards.






Responsibilities

Maintain strong understanding of Comcast's internal network automation products

Maintain reference knowledge of Comcast network architectures, topologies, and platforms

Provide superior customer service to internal network engineering and operations teams, by evaluating customer needs and problems to provide appropriate education and first-level support for internal network automation products

Escalate problems in a timely fashion as needed to minimize customer impact

Develop and test template services to automate network configuration tasks

Implement emergency bug fixes to template services as needed

Test new releases of the vendor applications and drivers

Work with system administration team to package and deploy code





Job Requirements

Detailed knowledge of routing and switching or load balancing; CCNA or JNCIA certification preferred

Experience with Java or Python development, including object-oriented concepts

Knowledge of unit testing methodologies and frameworks

Exposure to web services (REST, JSON-RPC, or SOAP)

Experience with YANG and XML (including XPATH) modeling languages

Proficiency with Linux environments and utilities

Knowledge of Cisco NSO/tail-f preferred

Experience working in agile teams; JIRA knowledge preferred

Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems

Ability to juggle multiple tasks and work autonomously, providing accurate reporting of work

Excellent written and verbal English skills





Job Specification:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or similar field; Master's degree preferred

Generally requires 7-11 years related experience.
